Flower Ridge Drive Thru Nativity in 28th Year

Flower Ridge United Methodist will once again provide a Living Nativity for the Christmas Season. For 28 years in all kinds of weather, this small church located on Hwy 15 S near Louisville has put together props, costumes and scenery for a drive thru experience of key parts of the birth of the Christ Child.

Church member, Beth Hemphill, indicates that the churh decided to hit upon the 5 key parts of the story of the Christ Child and use the members from the church to stand out in the scenes. The 1st scene is Mary being visited by the Angel and learning that she was with child. The 2nd scene; The Inn is where Jospeh and Mary are turned away because there was no room; The 3rd is The Wise Men traveling to see this Christ Child; The 4th is the angels telling the shepherds of the Birth and the 5th Scene is Mary and Joseph in the stable with the baby.

Hemphill indicates that she has been participating since the age of 8 and everyone who has had something to do with it has always loved it and wants to come back and do it again regardless of the weather.

The drive thru Nativity will be December 22 and 23 from 6 to 8 pm. For more information, contact Beth Hemphill at 662-803-6621 or Bro. Larry Haggard at 662-803-5748."
